A Bug story begins…
Business partners Sandra Hellems and Laura Heard opened their doors for business in 1997. Both had worked many years for a large nationwide company and decided to strike out on their own. After two years, Sandra acquired Laura's holdings and became the sole owner of Premier Pest Management. That doesn’t mean she does it on her own, however. Sandy’s significant other, Becky Garr joined Premier in 1998. She took a lot of administrative responsibilities on to free up Sandy and started developing our benefits programs. As we added great employees like Pam McCubbin, and Dee Kirkhart to our staff these changes became significantly important. We knew eventually office management would be essential. We wooed Teresa Hall as our Director of Administration to our team in 2001. Wow! What a change for the better Teresa created!! Also in 2001 we started our termite department with Jim Schiefelbien. In 2004, we added Chris Pate. What a fun group to work with! Sheri Hatcliff, Service Manager - Eric Huber, Bruno Barm, Scott Rexford, and William Wilson have come aboard to provide added man power (and Woman power) for our great growth. All of these achievements are due to the innovations of the Premier team. We would like to acknowledge some Premier team members no longer with us physically but who helped us significantly; Rhett Harrison – our first employee, Tanya Peters, Vangie Ralph, John Crippen, Stephanie Hansen, Bill Pate, and Bobby Neumann. Everyday something they added helps our company perform – we appreciate their contributions. We believe our staff is what sets us apart. Anyone in this industry should be trained to do his or her job that goes without saying (however, not always the case!). Where we differ is that our employees are kind and conscientious people on their own. They are paid a higher than industry average wage that encourages them to do their job correctly. They aren’t financially punished if they have return for a follow-up visit. In fact, we encourage our employees to initiate additional treatments if that is what is necessary to control a pest problem. We have fun with each other and our customers. We’re respectful and compassionate to the needs of today’s busy families and their health and safety concerns. With virtually no employee turnover we become a part of our customers lives. Our customers say we control pests better than any other company. However, it’s all the behind the scenes relationship building where we separate from the pack. That’s because we really like helping people by providing value added services. . Each of our employees has their own great assets and together we make an awesome team. We’re eager to have your business and prove that all pest control is not created equally. As business entrepreneurs, Becky and Sandy continue to explore new business prospects. We look forward to offering additional quality services to our customers in the future. In addition, we want to provide opportunities for fulfilling employment, to support our community and have a great time doing it. We hope you’ll give us try and see… THERE IS A PREMIER DIFFERENCE.
